What is ichabods mascot?

Ichabod's mascot is called "WuShock." WuShock is a fierce, anthropomorphic shock of wheat with human-like arms and legs. The mascot was created in 1936 by Wilbur Elsea, who was a student at the time, and the name was selected through a campus contest. The name "WuShock" comes from the term "shocking the wheat," which is the process of separating the wheat grain from the straw. WuShock has become an iconic symbol of Wichita State University and can be seen at sporting events, student activities, and campus gatherings. The mascot's unique design represents the university's strong agricultural roots and commitment to innovation and creativity.
